Kristina Esfandiari is Miserable again.
Since leaving Bay Area shoegazers Whirr a year ago, Kristina has churned out four releases under the monikers of King Woman and Miserable at a furious pace. Landing somewhere between Beach Fossils and Beach House, Dog Days is a four track EP that finds Kristina challenging herself to create something more upbeat. In doing so, she tackles heavier themes whilst landing on brighter textures. Redolent of pre-Loveless era My Bloody Valentine and even the upbeat elements of Black Tambourine, Dog Days is the official follow-up to last spring’s Halloween Dream EP (released via The Native Sound) and a precursor to her upcoming full-length debut as Miserable.
Dog Days will be available to stream/download as digital-only (via http://miserablegrl.bandcamp.com) on August 12, 2014.
